The SAHMS Program Committee is now accepting abstract submissions for the 28th Annual Meeting of the Southern Association for the History of Medicine & Science to be held April 2 through 4, 2026 at Arkansas Colleges of Health Education in Fort Smith, Arkansas. 

We welcome submissions from scholars at all stages in their career engaged in original scholarship in the history of science, medicine, technology, and related fields. Papers related to historical collections, public history, and pedagogy are also encouraged. The deadline for abstracts has been extended to December 15. Questions? Email sahmsconference@gmail.com.

Presentations should be no more that 20 minutes.

All participants will be required to register for and attend the conference in person and are responsible for paying a membership fee.*
